Samsung announces dual-mode LTE version of the Galaxy S4

Samsung Electronics is introducing yet another variant of it’s latest flagship Android Smartphone Galaxy S4. The new variant is capable of switching between two different LTE networks - TDD-LTE (Time-Division Duplex) and FDD-LTE (Frequency Division Duplex) seamlessly.

According to Samsung majority of global LTE market is basd on FDD-LTE technology, but more adoption of TDD_LTE technology is expected in the US,China,Australia and Middle East.  The new dual-mode LTE version supports both technologies allowing the customers to enjoy the benefits of fast mobile data communications without having to carry another device while travelling.

Samsung is planning to launch the new dual-mode VTE variant globally throughout this third quarter.  Dual-mode LTE version of Galaxy S4 Mini will also be made available along with Galaxy S4. You can read the complete press release here.
