Lightweight ADB and Fastboot Installer

minimaladb

ADB and Fastboot are two important tools that you use daily for modifying with your Android Device.

ADB is used to accomplish simple operations such as pushing and pulling files, run remote shell interactively, view logcat & bug reports.

Fastboot is used for  unlocking boot loaders  & flashing custom recovery images and kernels. Erase or Format any partitions.

But downloading these files from Google is not easy and straight forward. You need to download entire Android SDK ( 426 MB ) for getting these files. Downloading entire Android SDK just for these tools is simply waste of time and bandwidth.

However XDA Forum Senior Member shimp208  created a “Light weight  ADB & Fastboot Installer” a Windows-based installer that simply grabs the latest versions of ADB and Fastboot and installs to location of your choice. You should be ready to use ADB and Fastboot tools as soon as you plug your device through USB & it’s recognized.

You can download and read more about this tool here at XDA .
