Sprint Announces Rollout of WiFi Calling for 2 Samsung Devices

Sprint

Sprint has now officially announced that two of its devices, the Galaxy S4 Mini and Galaxy Mega, will receive support for WiFi Calling. They have said that both the devices will receive an OTA sometime in the next few weeks, enabling the users to make calls using any WiFi network. Also promised are updates to more devices throughout the year to support this new service.

WiFi Calling will enable the users to make calls when they are in areas where coverage is weak or non-existent. Also, WiFi Calling doesn’t take minutes from your regular call/text limits, but users with unlimited text/calls won’t have any particular advantages. This feature will be useful for making calls whilst in a building or other signal-less areas. So, are you excited about this feature or is it something that doesn’t really matter to you?
