Deal Alert: $100 Credit for New Lines on AT&T and Verizon

Right now, Amazon is running a special that gives you a $100 credit if you sign up for a new line of service with AT&T or Verizon. As always, there is some fine print. The deal requires you to purchase a new phone, MiFi, or tablet from Amazon and activate a new line of service. You can add the line to an existing account, but using an upgrade does not count. The credit will take up to three billing cycles to show up on your AT&T or Verizon bill.

The good news is that it will work for non-subsidized devices as well, which is nice considering the recent carrier pushes towards Verizon Edge and AT&T Next. While using the payment plans to get a new device every few months is not in your best interests financially, using it as an interest free loan from the carrier is. And being able to get $100 off of a $500-$700 device is worth looking into.
