Now that ‘s done with, time for my review and opinions.

For starters, the graphics in this game are beautiful.  Even playing this game at full resolution and max graphics on my tired, old Note(SGH-i717), it still plays very well.  Also has a very nice and fresh sound track to it as well.

You start off with basically being forced to drive a Chevy Sonic.  Sure you can choose other basic cars like an Alfa Romeo Mito or a Renault Clio, but you don’t start off with enough money or credits to get them.  You can, should you choose, pay for more in game credits but that kind of spoils the fun of playing the game and earning them, don’t you think?  That being said, it is fairly cheap to upgrade the Sonic from the start so you can have a better set of wheels to play around with.  Things like the acceleration, handling, top engine speed, and brakes are all upgradable and the best part of it is that they actually take time to “install”.

Let me explain this:

You buy an upgrade, then you have to hire your mechanic (a cheap starter one) to install the upgrade.  Before you can move onto the next race, however, there is a little ticker that counts down how long it will take to install your upgrade.  Some things will take a little longer than others, but that also boils down to the mechanic you hire too.  Better mechanic, faster install time.  You can, of course, pay to have it done right away, but I kind of like having to wait.  This gives it a bit more of a real feel seeing that it takes time to do.

The main draw of a game like this is obviously the cars, and rightly so, because there are so many high end super cars available (for a price) such as the Bugatti Veyron, McLaren MP4-12C, Ferrari 599xx, but you also have access later on to classics like the Shelby GT500 Mustang, Dodge Challenger and more.

The campaign mode is very, very deep.  I would venture to guess you could play this game for a week straight, and still not play though every level available.  That’s just my opinion of how much there is to do in this game.

Now personally, I like the game.  Great graphics and soundtrack, car noises are as good as they can be for a smartphone game.  The problem I have is it’s a “freemium”, or pay to win, game.  Freemium for those that don’t know, means the game itself is free, but there are a lot of in game purchases to be made if you really want to go anywhere in it.  Yes it is to be expected to some degree, but come on guys- chuck us a few freebies to keep us playing why don’t you.  It really is a good game and well worth the time to sit down and play it, but be forewarned that you could get sucked into buying a lot of things, such as upgrades or new cars, and not realize you just spent $40 on the game.

All in all, give it a try.  It’s free and will kill some time while in a waiting room or on a rainy day off.

Have this game?  Tried it already?  Let us know, leave a comment with you r impressions and opinions.  We’d love to hear from you.
