Samsung Hennessy, an Android based flip phone from Samsung Mobile was announced yesterday in China. It seems Android users who love Android based flip phones need to spend huge amount as some Chinese websites are reporting that Samsung Hennessy is priced as high as 4999 Yuan which translates to $800.
Considering the not so attracting specs of Hennessy like Two 3.3 inch 320 * 480 TFT displays, 1.2GHz quad core processor ( not the latest technology ), 1 GN RAM and 5MP camera, this price seems to be way too high. On the software side too, it comes with not the latest Android 4.1 JellyBean operating system. You can find more specs of Samsung Hennessy here at AFN.
There is no feature other than Flip option that would attract users to get this phone over other Samsung’s current Android flagship smartphone Galaxy S4 or yet to be announced Galaxy Note 3. Of course, There is no official word on global availability and pricing of Samsung Hennessy yet.
