Chromecast gets the Teardown Treatment

LVfRRZmZ3kMUvPUT.mediumGoogle Chromecast is in news everywhere and it just got the teardown from iFixit. The folks over at iFixit didn’t give the Chromecast a repairability score because there is nothing to fix inside it. However we did get to know some interesting details about the Chromecast.

Here’s what is inside the Chromecast:-

  • AzureWave AW-NH387 802.11 b/g/n WLAN, Bluetooth, and FM combo module
  • Marvell DE3005-A1 System-on-a-Chip
  • 4GB of Micron MT29F16G08MAA 16 Gb NAND Flash memory
  • 512MB of low-voltage Micron D9PXV DDR3L SDRAM

Considering that Chromecast has been removed and with above hardware wouldn’t it be great to run Android on this little boy.
