Earlier this month HTC released a official statement confirming HTC One S will no longer receive any further OS updates. However today @LlabTooFeR - HTC Rom Developer tweeted that HTC is still working on Android 4.2.2 update along with HTC Sense 5.0 for HTC One S variant with Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor ( codenamed Ville ).
It is not clear as of now if this update will also be coming to One S variant with Qualcomm Snapdragon S3 processor ( codenamed Ville C2 )
This is a good news for all HTC One S owners who are stuck with Android 4.1 on such a wonderful device. You can’t expect any kind of ETA or if the update will come as OTA or just through HTC Dev website.
