Google brightens up the Play Store
It’s official folks! The new look for the Google Play store is rolling out today.
The news was posted on the official Android Blog. Google says the new look is to be simple, clean, with more focus on entertainment. If you look at the images you’ll notice it has a Google Now’ish feel and look to it, with bigger images for movies, music and books. They’ve also simplified the check out process so you can browse other content or get to your purchase quicker (or spend money faster).
The redesigned Google Play store app starts rolling out today for Android phones and tablets running Android 2.2 (Froyo) and above. People around the world should see it over the next few weeks.
I’ve been checking my Nexus 10, Nexus 7 and Galaxy Nexus since I’ve heard the news and nothing yet. Let us know in the comments if you’ve gotten it and on what device.
