Flashaholics app of the year – Boot Manager

Those of you that are flashing maniacs and would love to have five of your favorite roms at your finger tips and access them by a simple reboot of your phone, Boot Manager is your friend.

Boot Manager is the first Android Multi-Booter Application! The application installs up to four ROMs to your sdcard and you can keep one on your phone as well to allow you to boot up to five ROMs and switch between them with just a reboot. This is the must have application for any flashaholic and will finally allow you to keep up with those nightly builds we have all come to love or just boot your favorite ROMs from your favorite developers. The application is great for developers as well since you now have 5 slots for testing ROMs.
The application acts as your recovery for the four sdcard slots. Install your kernels, theme, and ROMs all through the app and use your normal recovery for your phone ROM.
Root & S-Off Required.

In other words, you have five ROM’s you have access to.  Your main ROM is your “phone ROM”, this is the ROM that is running on your phone (cm7 in my case).  The other four ROM’s are stored on your SD card and run off the SD card.  Once you have setup your phone ROM (the main ROM) and put your favorite ROM’s (from your SD card)   in the four empty ROM slots your ready to bounce from ROM to ROM with the simple click of a button and reboot of the phone.
I currently have Cyanogenmod 7 as my phone ROM, MIUI in ROM slot 1, viperROM RC in ROM slot 2, InfectedROM Eternity in ROM slot 3, and SteelROM v2.61 in ROM slot 4.  I have to warn you that the four back up ROM’s you’ve created with this app are at least 2g each, so you may want to only have one or two back up ROM’s unless you have a 16g SD card or bigger.
This is very handy if you want to update your PRL, get a quick GPS lock if you’re on an AOSP ROM or just want another reason to show all your iPhoney friends one more reason Android smokes Apple.
As always do a nandroid before you play with any of these kind of apps.
Also….. I’m not responsible if this app bricks your phone, borks ANYTHING on your phone, causes your wife or girlfriend to cheat on you, your dog seeing this app and can’t stop humping your leg or anything else bad that may happen from using this app. None of those should happen…..  well maybe the dog part. 🙂
