AFN Week in Review – August 25, 2013

Hey there Android Fans! Chef Dave has been hiding in the woods and Munchy Cool is out on a dangerous recon mission but that hasn’t stopped us from bringing the latest intel that Android Fans want to read about.

HTC is on a roll

phpeb08leEuropean HTX One X owners started seeing Android 4.2.2 JellyBean that includes Sense 5. We had another leaked render of the HTC One Max next to it’s two older (little) brothers, the HTC One and HTC One Mini. In Android 4.3 news, we got reports of the newest flavor of Jelly Bean was coming for the HTC Droid DNA and HTC One then developer LlabTooFeR gave us a custom 4.3 ROM for the HTC One based off a leaked test build. Last but not least, the HTC One for Verizon happened.

Moto X

We got root for the Moto X and the Moto X Developer Edition made an official appearance on Motorola’s website.

Some Google Stuff

marquee-productThe Google Chromecast showed back up in stock at Best Buy, then sold out. Then was back in stock – and sold out again. Just going to have to win one here I suppose…

The Nexus 7 FHD received an OTA’s to fix touch screen issues. In the post comments, some of our Android Fans have mentioned the fix didn’t work.

Site news

We have some behind the scenes changes and some more visible updates. Mobile version is live. We’ve updated the navigation menus. AFN’s Frank LaTorre make up a nice app for us which we’ve been testing internally. It’s on Google Play now so please give it a go and let us know what you think.
