First Nexus 5 orders shipping

Great news indeed . Several folks who ordered Nexus 5 within minutes after the launch at 11 AM PST on Google Play Store started receiving ‘your order has shipped’ notification mail from Google Play. As above image depicts I ordered a Nexus 5 Black – 16 GB within 3 minutes after the launch ( at Oct 31, 2013 11:32:40 PM IST which equates to Oct 31,2013 11:02:40 AM PST ). It is really a pleasant news as the order confirmation mail listed that item will be shipped by November 5th. It looks Google has learned from its mistakes at the Nexus 4 launch.

Some users who has chosen upgraded shipping also received shipping notice from Google Play. Several users at XDA also confirmed that they received shipping notice with tracking number.

I ordered mine at 3:43PM Est time. 12:43 Pacific(I hate 3rd shift, I miss all the cool stuff during the day). I upgraded the shipping to 2day. I’ll let you guys know when I get a shipping email if you want. I’ll most likely be in the second wave of shipments.

I ordered a white 32GB version 1hr and 45min after they went live. Not sure what order they’re shipping in, but just thought I’d let my friends at AFN know that I got my shipping notification this morning at 8:12AM today Sun. Nov 3rd.
