We finally have a super clear video of the Nexus 5 & Android 4.4. Even though the Nexus 5 in the video is a prototype(no Nexus branding on the back) and the version of Android 4.4 is still called KeyLimePie the video does give us a clear view of the Nexus 5 from all sides. We also get a little walk-through of Android 4.4.

The Nexus 5 has leaked yet again, this time at a bar (glad it was not left overnight and Google had to do a recovery operation the next morning). This time around it was left unattended giving the bartender enough time to grab some pics and a few videos.

With unreleased smartphones being left behind in bars every years I guess it’s time we open one .

Samsung Posts a Detailed Video of Galaxy Note 3

Samsung just posted a 6 and a half minute video tour of the Galaxy Note 3. The video gives you a walk-through of the hardware and software capabilities of the Note 3.

BBM For Android Shown Off on Video

A lot of us are eagerly awaiting release of Blackberry Messenger aka BBM for Android as BlackBerry had promised release by summer end. Well, we now have a hands on video of BBM for Android running on a HTC First (yeps, the Facebook phone which never really saw sunrise ). The version of BBM for Android in the video is up to date and offers all the features which BBM for BackBerry 10 has except for tagging a location to your posts.

HTC Teases the One Max with “Big things ahead” Video

HTC just posted a video in Vine teasing the HTC One Max, pictures of the One Max leaked over the weekend.

At the end of the video you can see HTC’s new taglines “Here’s To Change” & “Happy Telephone Company”.

The HTC One Max is to be unveiled at IFA event in Berlin,Germany next month along with Samsung Galaxy Note 3.

Chromecast Root Released

Day before yesterday we had reported that Google Chromecast root exploit had been found and release was imminent, well root for Chromecast was released early morning today. All you need is a minimum 128mb flash drive and a Powered Mini USB OTG Cable which can be bough cheap of ebay.

The exploit writes a new custom /system image onto your Chromecast, well in simple terms it’s a custom firmware.Now that Chromcast has been rooted and we can write a custom firmware we believe the possibilities are endless and we say modified firmwares for the Chromecast as well.

Nokia FATBOY and DT-900 charge the New Nexus just fine

Does the Nokia FATBOY and the Nokia DT-900 charge the New Nexus 7? The answer is yes!

Kevin from Android Fan Network and myself were lucky enough to get the 2013 Nexus 7 this morning. With all of the talk of wireless charging for the New Nexus 7, obviously we wanted to find out if the wireless chargers we had worked and how well. Kevin has the Nokia Wireless Charging Pillow by FATBOY and I have the DT-900 wireless charging plate by Nokia.

Well, we’re both pleased to announce that they both work and they work well. Just sitting here typing this article and uploading pics my New Nexus 7 has gone up 3% in just the past few minutes. It’s by no means a speed demon but definitely gets the job done. If you’re looking to get a quick charge, I would stick with the OEM block and charging cable. If you want to look like a James Bond bad ass, then the wireless chargers are the way to go.

For those of you that may have either of these chargers for your Nexus 4 or HTC Droid DNA and plan on picking up the New 2013 Nexus 7, you’re all set in the James Bond bad ass department.

Paul O Brien demos MoDaCo SWITCH for the HTC One

MoDaCo SWITCH will be the next big thing for HTC One owners, this app allows you to seamlessly boot between HTC Sense & Google Edition rom on an HTC One. The data and apps is shared between the two roms, awesome right? The app is currently being tested by Paul O Brien and should be released soon. Installation will be pretty simple, just flash a zip file from recovery.

In the mean time Paul has been kind enough to upload a video to show how it works and considering it’s in beta testing it shouldn’t be long before it’s released but as with all Android development no ETA’s.

Video on Instagram Launched

Video on Instagram has been launched by Facebook to compete with Twitter’s Vine. Instagram videos can be 15 seconds long and 13 new filters have been added.

Today, we’re thrilled to introduce Video on Instagram and bring you another way to share your stories. When you go to take a photo on Instagram, you’ll now see a movie camera icon. Tap it to enter video mode, where you can take up to fifteen seconds of video through the Instagram camera.

You’ll also find that we’ve added thirteen filters built specifically for video so you can keep sharing beautiful content on Instagram. When you post a video, you’ll also be able to select your favorite scene from what you’ve recorded as your cover image so your videos are beautiful even when they’re not playing.
