The second of three announcements that T-Mobile has scheduled this week is Operation Tablet Freedom. This is T-Mobile’s latest un-carrier event, and the announcement is aimed at shaking up tablet sales. T-Mobile CEO John Legere’s simply stated:
“With this announcement, T-Mobile’s launching a full-on assault against the restrictions and pain points that keep tablet owners from experiencing life beyond the Wi-Fi zone. The Un-carrier is all about solving pain points, and today we’re eliminating every reason to be stuck on an unconnected Wi-Fi-only tablet. There’s no longer any need to limit the use of your tablet because you’re intimidated by Big Blue, Bad Red or Bumbling Yellow.”
With this announcement, T-Mobile is trying to make it easier on your wallet to add a tablet to your plan.
- T-Mobile will pay your ETF if you are stuck on an existing contract
- You can purchase a tablet on a payment plan
- T-Mobile will sell their cellular tablets at WiFi tablet prices.
- In addition to the free 200MB you already get for life, T-Mobile is also giving you another free 1GB of data until 2015
Is this enough for you to grab a cellular tablet or is your WiFi model doing just fine? Head to the link below for the full details.
