Cyanogen, Inc. Reveals new Corporate Identity

The folks over at Cyanogen, Inc. revealed a new corporate branding, further separating the business side from the hobbyist side of CyanogenMod. Explaining the new branding, they felt it should, “embody the spirit of the company origins, but also speak to the future.” The announcement goes into detail about customization, security, and open source, describing what the parts represent and how they fit into the new brand.

The center displays the importance of the user – the focus of the brand. The ‘C’ brings together the company and the community – users, developers, contributors and fans. Working together we have provided a safe and secure environment for the user; one free of walls of restrictions. The arrow points forward – driving all things forward to bigger and better things.

So, what happens to Cid? No worries, Cid is still around to represent the open source community side of CyanogenMod. Like the new Cyanogen, Inc. branding or hate it? Let us know what should be on your bootscreen in the comments.
