Looks like the Nexus 5 will be made by LG after all. The device with model number as D820 passed through FCC. The back of the device line up the image of Nexus 5 from the KitKat unveiling video.
Below are the specs listed for FCC approval:-
- 5-inch display (4.96-inch, to be exact)
- 131.9mm tall and 68.2mm wide
- 7-band LTE bands 2/4/5/17/25/26/41 – which means it should work with LTE on AT&T, T-Mobile & Sprint
- CDMA / EVDO rev A
- pentaband DC-HSPA+
- quadband GSM / EDGE
- Bluetooth 4.0
- NFC
- Wi-Fi dual-band 802.11 b/g/n/ac
- Wireless Charging
- Non-Removable battery
These are heck of specs for a phone and trust me this could be the Nexus 5.
The software version listed is “aosp_hammerhead-userdebugKyeLimePieFACTORYeng.sangjoon84.lee.20130618.015154.” It looks like changing the name of next version of Android to KitKat was a rather late call. The processor on this thing points to a Snapdragon 800 SoC.
