All in One LTE Enabler for Google Nexus 4

Nexus 4

Google do not advertise Nexus 4 as an LTE device, but it has LTE bands supported on some networks. However those LTE bands are disabled by Google. Now the big question is how to enable LTE bands.  There are several working solutions to it and one among them is the “ALL in One LTE enabler for Nexus 4″, a flashable zip prepared by bpear96 at XDA.

You need to have a unlocked bootloader and custom recovery on your Nexus 4 to flash this zip file. What does this All in One LTE enabler actually do?  Here is the description provided by bpear96 at XDA.

  • I have created a AIO ZIP that can be flashed on your phones recovery and will enable lte.
  • It flashes the .33 (or .27 depending on zip) radio/modem, fixes audio by overwriting the necessary file, and automatically updates your build.prop with the needed changes.
  • ALSO this zip will put 2 CM Backup scripts in /system/addon.d , now if your phone supports CM Update scripts (CM of course,Carbon as well, and im sure alot more ROMS) you will only have to flash this ZIP once, it will automatically backup/restore the needed files and make the changes to enable LTE on each ROM Update, just like it currently does for GAPPS.

Download link for All in one flashable zip that enables LTE, manual instructions and more information can be found here at XDA. This should work seamlessly on any ROM but you may need do some manual steps mentioned  in the XDA thread depending on the ROM.
