Apple has ‘no religious issue’ against making apps for Android.

No religious issue? lol  Guess he see’s the cards like we do.

Tim Cook (the gentleman in the left of the pic I posted) said his company is at least open to possibly developing apps for Android if it “made sense” for them. During a Q&A on stage at D11, Cook was asked if bringing iCloud to other operating systems would be a wise move for Apple. This is what the CEO had to say.  “To a general question of would Apple port an app from iOS to Android? We have no religious issues with doing that. If we thought it made sense for us to do that, we would do that”.

Now, we all understand that Google and Android aren’t the same thing. Google is a company and Android is an operating system, but let’s take Google out of Android and see how much fun that operating system will be.  For this argument we’ll say Google and Android are like creamer and coffee, we need them together for a good product.

It does seem blasphemous to ever see an iOS app on Android right? But let’s flip the script here real quick. I was playing with an iPad 3, iPad mini and an iPod 5 yesterday. I went to the app store and searched “Google” and saw just about every goodie that Google offers to Android for iOS. Honestly the one that hurts the most is Google Now, but it’s not even close to being as good as it is on Android (thank God). My point is, why does it seem like such a religious decision to bring iOS apps to Android? Would it hurt Apple to “allow” iOS apps to Android? It could….  then again it could also “make sense”.

In my opinion….  The day we see an iOS app on any of our Android devices will be the day John Wayne knocks on my front door riding a pink unicorn delivering a pizza. It ain’t gonna happen! I actually just lol’ed at the thought of an iTunes widget on my Samsung Galaxy  Note 8.0.
