Google Play Games Launching at Google I/O

An update to Google Play Services is being rolled out as we speak (we are yet to get the update on any of our devices though), but the guys over at Android Police have got hands on it and done a teardown of the apk.

The teardown reveals that the new version will be 3.1.36, and references to Play Games. There will be badges, achievements, scoring and leaderboards. Cool, ain’t it! Well, it would be great if I can race with my friends using my Android device or play a game of chess with my uncle.

How Google Play games will work would only be known at Google I/O is our educated guess. In case of of our readers get the update and can hook us up with the apk that would be highly appreciated.
