Over 100 Paid Apps For Free On GetJar

GetJar, an independent application store for Android, is offering 100 paid apps for free.

The process of downloading and installing is a bit cumbersome, though – you need to install the GetJar app first, and you won’t be able to update those free apps automatically through the Android Market. But still, free is free, especially since there are some real gems in the selection, which we’ve picked out for you:

  • Beautiful Widgets
  • Splashtop Remote Desktop
  • Tapatalk
  • TweetCaster Pro

And some cool, high-quality games:

  • Fruit Ninja THD
  • Age of Zombies
  • Orbital
  • Glyder 2
  • Quell
  • Cross Fingers
  • Side-note: NFL 2012 and Duke Nukem HD are currently free on the Android Market
So, you might be asking, how does this offer work? Well, GetJar still pays the developers of those apps, but makes its money by offering sponsored listings to other developers – that is, pretty much a win-win situation for everyone involved. For the full catalogue of free apps, visit GetJar Gold.
In a nut shell, go to Getjar on any of your android devices, click the download Getjar tab, install Getjar apk and enjoy all of their free Android apps.  You’ll need to check unknown sources in your application settings on your Android device (On your phone press the menu button, settings, applications, and check “unknown sources” allow installation of non market applications).
