Don’t take this with a grain of salt, this could very well be true and I see no reason why it won’t be. Nokia did have team which had Android running on the Lumia phones before Microsoft jumped in and bought Nokia. Keep in mind that the Nokia Microsoft partnership was to end next year and then Nokia could have very well dumped Windows Mobile and Microsoft and gone with Android. Why? Because everybody including Nokia knows that Windows Mobile ain’t going nowhere, it’s between iOS and Android as of now.

There were rumors that Nokia was on the verge of going bankrupt hence they were bought by Microsoft, but we believe that Microsoft knew that Nokia was working on Android on the Lumia phones. This was a clear signal to Microsoft that Nokia might dump Windows Mobile and go with Android. Therefore to save Windows Mobile from being an extinct species Microsoft decided to buy Nokia.

We already know a group of ex Nokia employees have started Newkia to run Android on Nokia phones, what if this was the group within Nokia which has Android running on Nokia phones. What a head start for this group.

Nokia just launched 2 new chargers, the Nokia DT-601 a wireless charger and the Nokia DC-19 a portable charger with a 3,200 mAh battery. What’s great about both these chargers is the color options you have. The Nokia Dt-601 pictured above is Qi compliant and roughly the size of a puck. It comes with a 5 feet usb cable which can plug into any usb charging block, unlike the DT-900 which came with a Nokia charging block. Yellow, cyan, bright red, black, and white colors will be available. Pretty smart move from Nokia I would say.

Along with the DT-601 we also have the Nokia DC-19 portable charger with a 3200 mAh battery, LED notification lights and cool colors. Cyan, Yellow and White colors will be available for the Nokia DC-19.

What is killer about these 2 chargers is the price, €29 only. The chargers will be avilable in Asia Pacific region starting this month and be available in the States just in time for the holiday season. If these are launched for $29 in the States I am pretty sure these will sell like hot cakes assuming all color options are available at launch.

No we ain’t talking about a rival to the car manufacturer Kia, we are talking about Newkia, a company founded by Thomas Zilliacus. Newkia was formed after Nokia was acquired by Microsoft. Thomas has worked for 15 years at Nokia and was Nokia’s Asia Pacific CEO for 7 years. Thomas also tried to buy Nokia a year ago but was not successful.

The aim of Newkia is to use the Nokia know how and design phones running Android. When Nokia entered a partnership with Microsoft in February 2011 everyone knew it was a wrong call, but it is what it is. Nokia decided against Android and suffered massively. Now that we have Newkia we can hope to have what we have wanted for years, a Nokia phone running Android. Thomas already has some ex-Nokia employees on board and is looking to hire more peeps who are interested in working on Android.

Newkia plans to launch it’s first Android phone in the second half of 2014 if everything goes as per plans. Personally, I would buy a Nokia phone running Android anyday. I even had a Nokia N9 running Android (thanks to nitdroid) and loved it. Would you buy Nokia phone running Android? Let us know via comments below.

In the above pic is a render leak that looks like the 1020 and 925 had a baby. A big baby at that! Rumors have it the Nokia Lumia 1520 (codename Bandit) will have a 6 inch 1080p display, a quad core processor and a 20 megapixel camera. This is all we have for rumored specs at the moment, but we should see the official announcement at the Nokia event later this month.

For someone who is on a sinking ship not sure if this is a smart move from Nokia. Taking a dig at Samsung can be taken as a competitor’s move but taking a dig at Android does not make sense to us. Let’s see if Samsung and/or Google do respond to Nokia or not.

Does the Nokia FATBOY and the Nokia DT-900 charge the New Nexus 7? The answer is yes!

Kevin from Android Fan Network and myself were lucky enough to get the 2013 Nexus 7 this morning. With all of the talk of wireless charging for the New Nexus 7, obviously we wanted to find out if the wireless chargers we had worked and how well. Kevin has the Nokia Wireless Charging Pillow by FATBOY and I have the DT-900 wireless charging plate by Nokia.

Well, we’re both pleased to announce that they both work and they work well. Just sitting here typing this article and uploading pics my New Nexus 7 has gone up 3% in just the past few minutes. It’s by no means a speed demon but definitely gets the job done. If you’re looking to get a quick charge, I would stick with the OEM block and charging cable. If you want to look like a James Bond bad ass, then the wireless chargers are the way to go.

For those of you that may have either of these chargers for your Nexus 4 or HTC Droid DNA and plan on picking up the New 2013 Nexus 7, you’re all set in the James Bond bad ass department.
