Earlier today we reported that Oppo’s ColorOS has been ported to HTC One, well it has also been ported to the Samsung Galaxy S4 i9500. Standard installation instructions apply:-

-Download the ROM
-Wipe Data and Cache partitions.
-Flash the ROM using ClockworkMod
-Flash Gapps (Use the latest jb 4.2.2 version) – http://goo.im/gapps
-Root it by flashing SuperSU

Do you like Oppo’s ColorOS & interface and want to try it on your device ?  Shenye, Recognized developer at XDA has ported Oppo’s Color OS to HTC One. It is a stable build and based on Android 4.2.2 JellyBean. You can even push any of sense apps as this ROM is based on sense framework.

Here are the instructions to download ROM and flash it on your HTC One. Boot loader on your device should be unlocked and it should have a custom recovery like CWM ( developer says it’s tested on this version of CWM )

-Download the ROM from XDA here.

-Wipe Data and Cache

-Flash the ROM

-Flash Gapps ( jb 4.2.2 latest from http://goo.im/gapps )

-Root it by flashing SuperSU (or whatever your choice of SU manager is) – supersu

Steve Kondik, Mr. CyanogenMod himself, leaves us with a pretty dam exciting video. I think we all have an idea what this means or hope it means. Some serious kick ass software on some mean hardware (minus Focal). One would hope that’s where this video is leading us to. We shall find out September 23rd.

Oppo seems to be on roll announcing multiple high end Android devices. Last week we heard about new device, Oppo Find 7 with staggering specs like 5 inch FULL HD (1080 p) display,Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor,13-megapixel rear camera, 8-megapixel front camera and 4000 mAh battery. Now Oppo confirms that it’s working on Android based camera named N-lens series to compete with Samsung Galaxy Camera.

As per engadget, Oppo representative confirmed the name of Oppo’s new product line: N-Lens, focusing mainly on photography and it will be the most important flagship series for Oppo going forward.

No other details on phone capability or other specs are available at this time, but a  high-resolution camera powered by Android along with great low-light performance is what we can expect.

Most of by buddies know I am sucker for red phones, so just a few minutes ago one of my buddies Mike pointed me to a red Oppo Find 5. Yes peeps, it’s the Oppo Find 5 in red, this is going to be a limited edition phone and should be coming out pretty soon.

The Oppo Find 5 is no bummer of a phone, I had one and trust me I rate the Oppo Find 5 higher than the Samsung Galaxy S4 & HTC One having had all three of them. The only device which I have used that I would rate above the Oppo Find 5 is my Droid DNA. The only con of the Oppo Find 5 is that it’s a bit on the heavier side.

Oppo is an upcoming Android manufacturer and they love to support Android developers. After the Oppo Find 5 the company is coming out with the Oppo Find 5 Mini. A picture of Oppo Find 5 Mini in various colors has leaked over the internet. The Find 5 Mini will have a smaller 3.7 inch 720p display as compared to the 5 inch 1080p on the Oppo Find 5.

The processor used will have to something other than the Snapdragon S4 to keep the price down. No word on the pricing and release date as of now. Let’s hope the price is between $300-$400.

Full specs sheet is not yet available but Oppo Ulike 2S  features 5.5-inch 720 p display, dual-SIM support, 8-megapixel back camera, 5-megapixel front-facing camera, 3,000mAh battery.  Information on other specs like processor, RAM, internal storage and price is still missing.

5.5 inch hd screen and 5 million pixel front facing camera are going to be major marketing aspects.

Ulike 2S is expected to launch within the next two months but let’s hope it launches soon in other countries as well other than mainland China.

This is as simple as it gets guys, one click recovery install just requires you to have drivers for Oppo Find 5 installed on your Windows machine (sorry Mac owners, but you can always use fastboot flash recovery filename.img).

You have the option of installing either ClockWordMod or TWRP whichever you prefer or are comfortable with.
