AT&T is losing their strangle hold on the exclusivity of Moto Maker for the Moto X. We just reported that Sprint will most likely have Moto Maker available November 11th and now one of our favorite spy’s @evleaks is stating T-Mobile will have the Moto Maker option for their very own Moto X this Friday, November 8th.

Back when AT&T was the only carrier to offer Moto Maker when the Moto X launched I half thought the Moto X would be old news by the time other carriers had the chance to offer the same customization option, but I was completely wrong. The Moto X is still going strong and if anything it’s just picking up more steam.

Documentation from Sprint’s internal Playbook states Moto Maker will be available for the Sprint Moto X November 11th. That includes internal memory (16G or 32G), custom colors, which wallpaper will launch when you boot the Moto X for the first time, a custom boot message, your Google account already attached when you receive the Moto X and any available accessories.

Sprints internal Playbook memo reads – “Motorola launches its Moto Maker capabilities to Sprint, allowing customers to customize their own Moto X devices.”

So what do you Sprint customers get to say to the AT&T customers November 11th? Nah nah nah.. we got it too.

Looks like AT&T being the only game in town with Moto Maker is coming to an end November 11th. @evleaks posted on Twitter last night Big Red customers will have the option to create their very own Moto X masterpiece November 11th.

I was initially pretty pissed over AT&T being the exclusive Moto Maker carrier, but since the Moto X hasn’t lost any steam since it’s release date and now is available at Verizon, I’m getting over it. If anything people are going bananas when they get their paws on one and it’s been striking interest in forums all over, including our very good friends over at CellTraderOnline.

So for those of you Verizon customers waiting for the Moto Maker option, it’s looking like it ain’t to far away. Hop on over here and start practicing.

Two of my favorite colors are purple and green. For this article I’m going to show you all what I have in mind for my Verizon Moto X. Because I love CellTraderOnline, and will most likely be trading my Moto X down the road, I’ll skip the whole engraving part (although “handsome devil” would look pretty sweet on that Cabernet purple).

Even though this is an AT&T exclusive for now, it’s still interesting to see everyone’s custom Moto X.

Moto Maker

Stop on by the forums and show us what ya got!

It’s not often us Verizon guys get to say “look what we got”. But, look at what we got!

We die hard Android heads on Big Red have some decisions to make over the next few days and months. Do we go with the 6 month old HTC One? Do we go the 2013 Droid route? Or do we get a white or black Moto X?

Let’s start with the HTC One. This phone has been released by other carriers for quite a while now, and it’s no longer news or the new phone on the block. It also appears the Verizon HTC One is having some development issues due to the age and the freaking pad lock Verizon put on it. With that said, it’s still an extremely sexy phone, maybe the sexiest for that screen size, and will make anyone happy for a long time (unless you’re trying achieve root).

The Droid family is also a great lineup for Verizon. Except us Android Geeks know all so well the woes that come with those boot loaders. The Droid Maxx seems to be the most logical decision out of the 3 with that battery, casing and screen size, all for only $100 more, which isn’t much in the grand scheme of things in a 24 month contract. Either way, the Droid lineup this year is pure win if you should go that route.

Now for the phone I’m most excited about, The Moto X. In my opinion this is the phone to get this Fall of 2013 and beyond. It’s the most talked about phone right now, which usually means it will hold its value longer than the above two choices, it’s so dam near stock Android, it “will” have Moto Maker and just so many other reasons to go out and grab this phone. Yeah, we have to worry about how hackable this device may be, we won’t see any Moto Maker until October – November and it’s not a spec monster. But, even in black and white and the specs it has, it’s still going to be a hell of a daily driver and tons of fun.

So what have we learned from all this? Nothing! Get what you feel is the best bang for your buck or whichever phone suites your needs as a daily grinder. All three have their downfalls and strengths.

My advice… Wait a couple months and get a customized Moto X when that feature is available. Out of the three choices I’ve mentioned above, the Moto X is the biggest draw, will also hold it’s value longer than the others and just all around a beauty.

PS. We have the LG G2 and other great devices coming as well.

There’s tons of talks about the Motorola Moto X around blogs and forums. Will it have a locked boatloader? Verizon won’t have Moto Maker until later this year. The specs aren’t mind blowing. The hands free actions are gimmicky. Its not made in America, but assembled in America (had to put that one in there). And countless other talks and arguments over this device.

I for one am extremely excited for this phone. This phone isn’t necessarily “assembled” for us Android geeks. Its made for the masses across this planet that love the idea of having a unique phone with a wooden like backing or pink highlights around the phone. The hands free actions would blow a persons mind like my mother, who still thinks Siri is a ton of fun. The average consumer has no frigging idea what the hell a boatloader is and they couldn’t care less. I know the word “made” in America is the wrong terminology, but that term gets thrown around and it does fire us Americans up hearing “Made in America”.

Mark my words! This phone is going to sell like hot cakes. Google has a ton of dough they’re going to not only put behind this product, but also advertise the hell out of it (500 mill to be exact). You will see young girls carrying a hot pink Moto X, business men and women with that fancy wooden backing and all of them saying “OK Google play with me”. 99% of the future owners don’t give a crap about locked bootloaders, kernels, ROMs, or even CyanogenMod (not sure how anyone wouldn’t care about CM). These sales reps at the major carriers are going to be selling the hell out of this phone, and it will start with a shake of the phone to launch the camera. BTW… Can’t wait to see how many insurance claims get used from that action. The Nintendo Wii totaled a bunch of flat screen TVs, let’s see what the wrist flick camera launch can break (trolol).

August 23rd this phone will be available and mid September you’re going to see a crap ton of people with funky colored phones and they’ll all be shaking it and saying “OK Google”. When it comes to Verizon I’ll be one of those people.

As of now Verizon is only offering the black and white models.

Bit of a bummer in news this afternoon when AT&T announced exclusivity for Motorola’s new Moto Maker service for the Moto X. You know… All those colors, engravings and cases?

From Verizon’s official Twitter account they tweeted they will be offering the black and white models and Moto Maker later this year. I guess for now if you want to be one of the cool kids with the flashy colors and engravings you’ll have to be an AT&T customer. BOOO!!

Still no news on Verizon’s pricing and availability for the new Moto X just yet. Our guess is, it will be $199 on contract and we shall see on this whole Moto Maker thingy.

First the long wait for the Verizon HTC One and now this. GSM carriers are looking more and more tempting.
