This is getting interesting, the other day we reported that Google Glass is rootable, a few hours ago Google dropped the kernel source for Google Glass on a code.google.com page.

It looks like Google does want developers to work on custom kernel’s for Google Glass and eventually make custom firmware for Google Glass. Now this is what we call real quick, just days after early backers of Google Glass got the devices, we have kernel source.

The Google code page is just a temporary location for the source and it will eventually be pushed to git.

Google Glass kernel GPL source.

Currently there is a tarball of the kernel source in downloads.

This is unlikely to be the permanent home for the kernel source, it should be pushed into git next to all other android kernel source releases relatively soon, at which point, i’ll update this notice.

Download link to the kernel source for Google Glass can be found here.
