We are not sure (and I guess no one is) why Verizon constantly tried to lock down the bootloaders on Android devices, someone at Verizon needs to sit down, have a cup of coffee and think what are they trying to gain by locking bootloaders. Add to that most of the time the efforts are futile and the developers end up hacking the bootloader. It ain’t different this time as well.

A few days back Verizon released an update I605VRAMC3 for the Verizon Note 2, they locked down the bootloader for the third time, and for the third time they have been spanked (sorry for using that word, but Verizon deserves it) by Adam Outler & Lee Harrison. Here is what Adam had to say about it :-

Well, this has been quite the saga thus far…
Us: Suck It Verizon (exploit)
them: Suck it XDA-Developers (OTA patch)
Us: Back Atcha Verizon (exploit)
them: Stop it XDA (OTA Patch)
Us: No You! (exploit)

Yes, No You! Verizon, why can’t you just stop locking bootloaders and invest money somewhere else, maybe bring the HTC One to Verizon, I guess you are working with HTC to lock down the bootloader on it as well. But, anyways peeps the bootloader on the Verizon Galaxy Note 2 OTA update I605VRAMC3 has been unlocked and a custom recovery has been installed.
