Alleged pictures of HTC M8, next flasgship smartphone from HTC are floating all over internet. These pictures shows full metal back cover in blueish tinge with HTC logo in the middle, camera and flash on the top and the overall design looks similar to current HTC smartphones.

There is also a smaller round hole right above the camera lens ( above picture ) which could be a finger print scanner.

HTC M8 is rumored to feature a 5/5.2 inch display ( with 2k resolution ?? ) powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 Quad-Core processor. Other specifications include 3 GB RAM,FingerPrint Scanner, UltraPixel camera and enhanced Sense 6 User Interface.

These pictures could just be fake but let’s hope whatever HTC brings next to market would end it’s struggles in the smartphone market considering the recent failure of HTC One Max.

Fingerprint scanner on HTC One Max not working after bootloader unlock?

Have you bought an HTC One Max, new phablet with 5.9 inch screen from HTC and getting ready to unlock the bootloader for rooting or flashing custom ROMs? If yes- then don’t unlock it yet. Several HTC One Max users at XDA are complaining that finger print scanner is not working after unlocking the bootloader.

XDA member hectorz321 reported when tried to set a finger print to unlock the phone again, after wiping my finger for the final time it says “finger print not recorded, please try again”. He also tried relocking the bootloader but it did not fixed the issue. Another senior member clubtech also confirmed that unlocking the bootloader kills the finger print scanner functionality.

So guys, It’s better to wait until HTC comes up with some solution to resolve this issue.
