Already got your Nexus 5 and looking for steps to root it? Here you go. Many root methods are available at XDA, CF-Auto Root by ChainFire is one of them . It’s a simple and easy method to achieve root on a stock device and here is what the developer say about it.

CF-Root is the root for “rooting beginners” and those who want to keep as close to stock as possible. CF-Root is meant to be used in combination with stock firmwares, and be the quickest and easiest way for your first root.

The root package just includes the SuperUser binary and APK and below are the steps on how to download the package and install on your device.

- Download the ZIP file ( click here to dowload the ZIP file )
– Extract the ZIP file
– Boot your device in bootloader/fastboot mode. Usually this can be done by turning your device off, then holding VolUp+VolDown+Power to turn it on.
– Connect your device to your computer using USB

- Windows:
Run root-windows.bat

- Linux
chmod +x root-linux.sh
Run root-linux.sh

- Mac OS X
chmod +x root-mac.sh
Run root-mac.sh

- Follow the on-screen instructions – watch both the computer and the device !

Ensure you have latest Android SDK to avoid any fastboot driver errors and be aware that this root procedure will wipe your data if you haven’t unlocked the bootloader on your device yet. Hit this post at XDA to read more about this root method.

Region Lock Away – Application by ChainFire that takes away Region lock introduced by Samsung i Galaxy Note 3 has been updated to v1.3. Here is the changelog posted by ChainFire on Google Plus.

Changes from the last two days are the option to relock using previously backed up files (happens automatically during unlocking) and support for multiCSC firmwares. The latter is the main reason it previously wouldn’t work for a lot of people.

Note that it still does not appear to work on Exynos Note3′s, and I strongly advised against using it on such a device !

If you have owned Samsung devices and ever rooted them then you would know xda elite recognized developer Chainfire. Well Chainfire is at it again guys.

Chainfire just published root for the Qualcomm LTE version of Galaxy S4 i9505, it has been tested and is working on firmware XXUAMD2 but it will not work on older firmwares and we do not know if it will work on newer firmwares or not, but as long as Chainfire is there we believe any Samsung phone can be rooted.

For download links and instructions on how to root head over to the original thread on xda.
