Well that was fast! The Nexus 5 KitKat 4.4.1 update is already rolling out. This should help those camera problems everyone has been complaining about. You can quickly get this update by downloading then flashing it in recovery. You also have to be on the stock ROM to be able to sideload this.

Hotfile shut down! Owners to pay $80 million!

Hotfile, one of the top file hosting is now shut down. Many developers use Hotfile to upload their ROMs, themes, and many more Android related files. This shutdown will cause an inconvenience for many people as they try to find their favorite ROM’s elsewhere. They were originally accused of piracy back in 2011. Soon a trial started and they had been ordered to pay 500 million dollars in damages to the MPAA. After back and forth negotiations, they are now ordered to pay a total of 80 million dollars in damages and close their doors completely.

Android 4.3 Jellybean rolling out to T-Mobile Galaxy S4

Today is a lucky day for T-Mobile S4 owners. The long awaited 4.3 update for it is live. It is the last of the four major carriers to get the 4.3 updates. This update also brings support for the Galaxy Gear. Hopefully, it does not cause the same problems as other S4 owners are reporting. Now, all you have to do is unroot your S4 and get it charged up above 50%. Then go and hit the check for updates button. Hopefully that 4.4 update comes soon enough!

LG G Flex goes through the FCC with AT&T bands

I have to say AT&T usually gets the best phones. Today we notice that the LG G Flex went through the FCC with AT&T friendly bands. We see from the report the model number is LG D959. Also it reveals Quad band GSM support, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC, GPS, and 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac WiFi. All the usual boring stuff. I know for sure when that lands on U.S. shores I will be grabbing that thing.

G. E. HTC one gets KitKat. Job done HTC. Now Google’s turn

HTC has just tweeted that they have done their part in getting out the KitKat update for Google edition HTC one. The next step is for Google push out the update for it. This should not take that long and Google is getting ready to push it KitKat for the Nexus 4. It will be good to see both of these phones get KitKat at the same time. Also we haven’t heard anything from Samsung on the Google Play Galaxy S4.

Isis finally available for T-Mobile, AT&T, and Verizon.

After a long delayed release Isis is finally released. For those not familiar Isis is a Google Wallet competitor made by T-Mobile, AT&T ,and Verizon. This is good news for may people that had phones that are not compatible with Google Wallet. The reason that Isis works on most phones and Google Wallet only works on some phones is because phones that use Isis have the secure element inside the sim card rather then the phone itself.

To get started on Isis first you will need to be on either of the three carriers mentioned. Then you need a compatible phones which includes many older and newer phones. Third you will need to get a ‘enhanced sim card’ from your carrier. Finally you will need the Isis app for your carrier. Even though there are exactly the same each carrier has their own app.

Thanks to some online retailers we now know how the Moto G looks like and what it has inside before tomorrow’s announcement. This phone is not supposed to be a top of the line device according some previous rumored specs. The budget phone market is a very important one and this is one of Motorola’s first try.
