The bootloader on the Verizon HTC One has been hacked and unlocked, thanks to beaups. If you do not know who beaups is, well he is the same guy who brought s-off to the HTC Droid DNA and other phones as well. Bootloader unlock for Verizon HTC One has not yet been released but we shall keep you posted once it’s released. Do not take any OTA updates if you want to bootloader unlock your Verizon HTC One.

Safestrap recovery for Moto X has been released, yeps I know it brought a smile to AT&T and Verizon Moto X owners. Even though it’s an alpha build the only major issue is that the modem doesn’t get initialized correctly on the stock ROM. In short with Safestrap recovery installed you cannot use your Moto X to make calls in stock rom (has been fixed in latest build). The modem works fine when on a rom installed on the rom slots.

To install Safestrap on your Moto X you need to be rooted using PwnMyMoto.  It’s always been a cat and mouse game between the developers and manufacturers/carriers and developers have always won. Safestrap for Moto X is another example of this.

A few days ago we reported that the region lock on European Note 3 is infact real, but it didn’t take @Chainfirexda long to break the lock. He has released an app RegionLock Away on the Play Store which removes the region lock on Galaxy Note 3. You can also download the apk from here for free, if you download the free version feel free to buy Chainfirexda a beer. Click here to donate to him.

Of course you need to be rooted to run the app. In case you haven’t rooted your Note 3 here is how to do it. The app has only been tested on the European Galaxy Note 3 SM-N9005 (MI7 firmware). Beware of applying any updates as Samsung may lock your Note 3 again.

Looks like HTC has learnt from it’s mistakes on the HTC One, the One Max has leaked yet again. This time with a removable back and a micro sd card slot.

Even a HTC One with removable back exists but that is a dual sim version only available in China. Let’s hope when HTC unveils the One Max on 19th October it has a removable back with a microsd card slot.

Android 4.3 Touchwiz rom is now available for you to play with on your T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S4. This rom has been built for the leaked I9505XXUEMI8 Android 4.3 build for the International Galaxy S4. The rom is deodexed and Knox has been removed. A few things like wifi and NFC payments do not work hence it may not be a daily driver yet but we hope those are fixed soon.

Installation is as simple as flashing a file from recovery, once installed you can root using Chainfire’s 4.3 root. For more details and download links head over to the original thread at xda.

Multiple screenshots from a Nexus 4 running Android 4.4 have been leaked. The Android version is mentioned as Key Lime Pie and not KitKat so it’s obvious that this is an early build of Android 4.4 but it does give us some important details of what to expect in Android 4.4.

Repeatedly tapping on the build number brought up the letter K along with a piece of lime with cocktail sticks instead of a KitKat bar.

Printing is now an option in Settings pointing to the fact that Android 4.4 will have built in support for printing.

There is also an option for Payments which proves that Android 4.4 will have native payment support via NFC.

Another option added is support for Wireless screen casting via the Miracast standard built into the system.

The last important option added is to “Manage Mobile Plan” which adds the the ability to manage data when device is being used as personal hotspot, a pretty nifty feature for peeps who use there device as a hotspot.

Look wise there  are not many differences on the lock screen, home screens, dock and notification bar when compared to JellyBean.

Google Keep and Drive will now be part of Google apps and will come pre-installed with Android 4.4.

The app which has been enhanced the most is the stock Camera app, filters have been added and printing is now an option when you are viewing an image.

• Tilt-Shift and Center Focus options
• Negative and Posterize effects
• options to Export your edited image in a size of your choice with adjustable quality slider
• Print is now a menu option when viewing an image, also allows you to save your image as a PDF locally or view network printers and print out a hard copy
• Here you also have options for paper size, colour or black & white, page numbers to print, orientation and the number of copies you wish to print

Excited about Android 4.4 with all the new features that are being added, so am I.
