So you got that shiny beautiful AT&T HTC One and have it rooted with a custom recovery? Or you don’t want take the chance with this 208mb update as it may affect current root methods?

Fear no more! XDA Senior Member miller_kid has posted a custom ROM that is stock deodexed, debloated, and of course rooted. If you’re a fan of what HTC is doing with Sense these days, but still want or need to have root access and or a custom recovery, miller_kid’s stock updated ROM is right up your alley. Good news for you Odexed fans, he’s working on a rooted odexed version that should allow you to accept future updates.

So, there it is! We have the 208mb updated (1.58) ROM for us folks that like to keep our sweetheart stock, but still like to get under her hood and do a little tinkering.

If you’re reading this, I shouldn’t even have to tell you, but be sure to have a complete backup of your current ROM and setup, and ALWAYS do a clean flash with a full wipe (especially going from an odexed to a deodexed ROM… Or any ROM for that matter. Link is down below for the AT&T HTC One M8 updated ROM.

The Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 is still one of the hottest, if not the hottest 10 inch tablets available. Good news for you folks that just couldn’t bring yourself to spend $479 for the 16GB version or $529 for the 32GB version.

If you’ve been hankering for this big beauty and waiting for a deal like this to come along, wait no longer. Woot! is selling the 16 GB version for $364 and the 32 GB for $389 (those are pretty substantial savings. Keep in mind both versions are factory reconditioned and come in both black or white. In my opinion, it’s pretty darn safe buying “factory” reconditioned devices from major OEM’s.

As of writing this article you have 16 hours to take advantage of this pretty substantial deal Samsung is running, and if you’re looking for a pretty kick ass 10 inch tablet, this is one of the best your money can buy. Hit the link down below for more information.

To grab this deal hit Woot!

Samsung can go a little over the top, borderline corny, with some of their video spots and commercials. This video of the Galaxy S5 is none of that and the kind of advertising I personally enjoy seeing (enough sneaking celebrity selfies as advertising). As you can see Samsung gives us an up and close look at the phone from all angles and throws in “state-of-the-art camera” and “meaningful innovation” in the mix of the video. It really gives us a good look at the phone, camera, heart rate monitor, and screen, which is what we all really want to see.

Take note HTC; you have a beauty of your own with the HTC One M8 and a video like this of the M8 would be pure sexiness.

Sense 6 update will be available later this spring for the HTC One M7

Good news for existing HTC One M7 owners (and hopefully HTC One Max owners) coming out of today’s crazed day of news circling the release of the HTC One M8. Last year’s HTC One M7 will be updated to Sense 6. HTC said they are committed to keeping the phones updated, which includes the latest version of Sense on their flagship devices. This is certainly great news for HTC One M7 owners that do not plan on updating to the HTC One M8 anytime soon. Good looking out HTC!

There are a lot of high end flagship devices coming down the pipe, but I’d have to say the Oppo Find 7 takes the cake in the bad ass department going into spring 2014. These were the kind of specs and uniqueness I was expecting to see at MWC 2014. While the Galaxy S5, HTC One M8, and other devices being announced are absolutely nothing to sneeze at, I’d have to say that out of the bunch of flagships announced, the Oppo Find 7 is the phone I’m most excited to get my paws on. The 1440p display, 50MP photos (through digital resampling), and the 2.5GHz Snapdragon 801 processor (MSM8974AC) instantly caught my attention.

Chinese manufacturer Oppo will be releasing two versions of the Find 7. The lower end version will be named the Oppo Find 7a sporting a 1080p display (lol at the lower end version having a 1080p display), which will be released mid-April. The higher end Find 7 will be released in May or June.

The higher end 1440p display Oppo Find 7 will have a 5.5-inch display with a QHD (2560×1440) resolution and a PPI of 538 (you read that right, 538 PPI), a 2.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor (MSM8974AC), 3GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage and a 3000mAh battery. Wow! While the lower end 1080p Oppo Find 7a will be sporting a 5.5 inch 1080p display, 2.3GHz Snapdragon 800, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, and a 2800mAh baterry. And Wow again!

Love it or hate it, both devices will be showing off Oppo’s ColorOS. If you’re a hater of Oppo’s ColorOS, I would guess, since this is an Oppo device we’ll have some CyanogenMod based ROM’s and hopefully other AOSP based ROM’s for the Find 7 before too long.

So, what have we learned today? Oppo is looking to make their mark this year in the mobile industry, and what a mark they’re going to leave with the Oppo Find 7! We have the LG G Pro 2, Samsung Galaxy S5, the new HTC One (M8), and the Oppo Find 7 coming at us very soon. Looking at the specs on the Oppo Find 7, I think there’s a lot of us that will automatically crown it king and “the” phone to beat in 2014, but anyone that has owned a Moto X knows it’s not always about specs when crowning a king.

So, which one of the above phones will you be getting or looking forward to the most? If there’s a phone I didn’t mention that you’re looking forward to, let us know in the comments (and get out of here with the iPhone 6!). Come May-June, I’ll be letting you all know what I think of the 1440p Oppo Find 7.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 is, without a doubt, one Samsung’s “big daddys” of 2013, and with Verizon LTE it’s just become that much more of an awesome tablet (if 10 inch tablets are your flavor). The 2014 Samsung Galaxy Tab is definitely one of the tablets that are on the pricey side starting at $699, but if you ink a two year deal with Verizon, they’ll knock a whopping $100 bucks off this beauty, down to $599 (again…. 2 years!). I personally don’t ever recommend signing a 2 year contract especially for tablets, but if that’s your thing, then by all means save that c-note of yours and have at it. There’s also a $10 monthly fee for adding the LTE tablet to your Verizon More Everything Plan.

With the new line up of Nexus tablets right around the corner, Verizon has finally gotten their head out of their asses with the Nexus 7 2013 FHD LTE. I’m not a fan of inking a 2-year contract with any carrier for a tablet, but if you’re a Verizon customer and itching to get your hands on a LTE Nexus 7 FHD, they’re offering that very tablet when you sign a 2 year contract for $49. Before you ink that 2-year deal for last year’s Nexus 7, you may want to wait a few more months to see what’s doing with the new Nexus tablets that may be announced late Spring/Summer.

I’ve recently upgraded my WiFi Nexus 7 FHD to the LTE model and couldn’t be happier, but again, with the new Nexus tablets just around the corner, I don’t suggest inking a 2 year contract, even if it’s still a killer tablet. Hold on to your horses and see what Google has up their sleeves for 2014 – hopefully even a LTE Nexus 8…

You knew it was coming and you read the title right. The T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S4 Android 4.4.2 KitKat update is finally live and pushing out now via OTA or the Samsung Kies desktop app. When you download the 387 megabyte update, you’ll need to be on software version M919UVUEMK2 (Android 4.3), be sure to have a charged battery, hooked up to WiFi (it won’t let you download over mobile data), and a few <del>minutes</del> hours to wait on the download from Samsung’s slow servers.

Most of you know what’s coming with this sweet update, but I’ll leave a list of some of the major changes you’ll see with KitKat on the Galaxy S4.

KitKat (build M919UVUFNB4)
Improved stability
New camera shortcut on the lock screen
Improved on-screen keyboard

That’s it folks! You T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S4 owners hop on in to the settings and hit that system update button. There will be a 387 megabyte sweet surprise in there for you.
